FAQs

How soon will I see results?

Results are immediate, with hydration and skin quality continuing to improve over the following days.

How long will the results last?

Results typically last 9–18 months. Top-up treatments may use less product. Fillers are fully biodegradable and break down naturally over time.

Will I look unnatural after the treatment?

No! We focus on subtle, natural-looking results. You’ll look refreshed, not altered. If needed, the treatment can be safely dissolved.

What are the possible side effects?

Immediately after treatment, you may experience slight redness, swelling, tenderness, or an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal response to the injection and usually resolves within a few days.

If symptoms persist or if other reactions occur, please contact us. Slight swelling and redness at the injection site can be covered with mineral makeup.

Lip swelling may take up to a week to settle but normally subsides within three days. Bruising can occur, as with any injection, but is usually minimal and can be easily covered with makeup.

You must inform your practitioner if you are taking any blood-thinning medications (e.g. aspirin or warfarin), as these increase the risk of bruising.

Any persistent redness or swelling should be reported, as a minor skin infection may occasionally develop, though this is easily treated.

Very rarely, a vessel occlusion can occur—this will be fully explained during your consultation and prior to giving consent. As mentioned, some swelling may occur post-procedure. You can apply ice packs for a few minutes to help reduce this. Initial swelling after lip treatment may last several days, and lips can appear uneven during this time. Please note that the results immediately after treatment should not be considered final. Avoid touching the treated area for 6 hours. After this period, you may gently cleanse with soap and water, and apply light makeup.

If you have a history of facial cold sores, the injections may trigger a recurrence—preventative medication can be prescribed if needed.

If you are taking aspirin, vitamin E, or any other blood-thinning agents, be aware that these may increase the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection site. Please inform your practitioner, and discontinue use at least 2 weeks before treatment if advised. Avoid alcohol for 2 days prior to treatment.

Is there anyone that the treatment is not suitable for?

Pregnant and breast feeding women.

Anyone who has an infection at the proposed injection site.

Anyone with a history of an allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid.
